Hi anyone involved with the named beasts

- a reminder that you are all welcome at UK Micromouse 2010 on Saturday 26th June at Millennium Point.

www.tic.ac.uk/micromouse

As per previous years I will make space available for demonstrations or your own competitions.

If readers of this could please spread the word I would be grateful - the more we have at UKMM2010 the better.

Hi Colin

Thats sounds really good - I'll make sure you have an appropriate area. Please come see me if you are running a competition and we'll make sure we fit it in to the schedule so that all can watch.

Regards

Having fought with Windows Movie Maker, giving freezing videos and outputs that don't match the preview (must find a good alternative!), but I've now uploaded what was recorded at the event - most but not all of the minisumo competition:-

Vimeo allows for longer videos than youtube

If you want to jump straight to particular rounds there's a time line and comentary here:-

I'd hope next year we can go for a more challenging starting position, one where we need to hunt out the opponent.... something get the brain cells really working on the code and challenge the sensors!

Colin

Colin, thank you for posting the Mini-Sumo video. It was a great event!

If I may offer a thought for next year. Ask the camera-operator to try to get a few shots of the crowd. I was impressed by the number of children watching, and their rapt attention to the competition. I enjoyed it a lot, and they seemed to find it even more exciting than me.

Well done to you and your camera-operator, and well done to all the competitors. Fabulous fun!
